Using the About Tab in Google Classroom




The “About” tab is where you store your Classroom resources like:
  • Syllabus
  • Class Rules
  • Google Docs, Google Drive Folder that you and your students will use regularly throughout the year
Try to make the list not too large. Instead, you can add resources to your Google Drive folder that you and your students will regularly use throughout the year.

CITATION returned to Google Docs

One of the most significant changes that happened to the features of Google Apps (now known as G Suite) towards the end of 2016 was the return of ​"Citation" ​tool ​back into Google Docs. The feature was removed from Google Docs in September 2016 and Educators around the world lamented about it in a number of articles and blogs. Using it in tandem with the Explore function​, citations as footnotes​ can be inserted in research reports, ​whitepapers. The format of the citation can also be chosen from MLA, APA, and Chicago styles. To try it out: Open a document in Google Docs . Click the “Explore” icon from the bottom right Type a search in the search bar to search your docs and the web.
