Bookmark Your Google Doc for Less Scrolling


Bookmarking is a very handy feature ​while ​writing long ​articles or essays​ in Google Doc.




You can add a link to a specific paragraph​ and then share that link via email​ with anyone.
To enable ​Bookmarking into ​your Google Doc:

Open your desired Google Doc​ and place the cursor next to the section you want to Bookmark.






Go to the INSERT Menu and choose BOOKMARK.



A blue Bookmark icon will show up on the left of the section/paragraph.


Click on the Blue icon and then click on the word LINK






The link to this Bookmark will now be on the URL location of your Browser.



You can now copy this link and share it with anyone via email. 

NOTE: Make sure that the sharing permission of your Doc is set appropriately.


Using this Bookmark feature you can also create a Table of Contents at the top of your document. This table of content may appear very useful while navigating long documents.
